Just Sharing …

And oops, there he is … maybe

Okay, so I spent 110 bucks to do the eHarmony thing for three months. Let us pray that is the last time I pay to be disappointed, and at times, damn near traumatized. I was really disappointed that almost everyone I met was greater than three hours away and the local guys were … well… shall we say “not my type”. Ya know, they were the ones that posted photos showing themselves splayed unshaven, next to a pile of dirty laundry, skewed lampshade behind them and the words posted below their pic stating “I am most passionate about being active”. Yeah, sure buddy … Whatever!! Then I did meet a couple of guys (out of state, of course) who had a whole different set of issues. Out of respect to them I shall keep their issues just that … their own.

The whole kicker of this thing they call “dating”– this internet thing — the climax actually occurred a week ago the old-fashioned way. I was at my hairdresser’s getting my hair hi-lited for absolutely no one but myself since I can’t seem to find someone in the same zipcode as normal, I ended up giving her my email because she has a single brother. To get to the point we ended up doing the “meet and greet” and he is not only local, but charming, cute and kind — but I didn’t have to pay $20.95 a month to meet him. Wouldn’t it just be “the cat’s pajamas” if he was my knight in shining armor? The true test, of course, is time.

I guess no matter how old we get, there is a small piece of us that wishes for that prince charming… NOT so we can be supported or etc … just so we can be loved. So girls, get with your hair dressers and see what’s out there.
